Coming off the back of helping England to become European champions at the European Box Lacrosse Championship earlier this year, Eliot Pugh becomes assistant coach of the Rise men’s team for The Fly 2023 in what will be one of his first pure coaching roles. 

Pugh’s previous coaching jobs have usually been coupled with a playing role which was the case when he was a coach at Swansea University, Reading, Maidstone, and Milton Keynes. 

A secondary school teacher by trade, Pugh has always looked to introduce and promote lacrosse in his job. 

At Shiplake College, he organised their first ever U14 boys’ and mixed games before moving to Wollaston School where he has introduced lacrosse onto the curriculum with over 800 pupils picking up a stick to date.
